A figure that weighs 40 grams can cost ₹700. That seems strange until you see where the money goes, because the plastic is the smallest part of it.

Where the price goes
Machine time: the biggest part. A figure occupies a printer for one to six hours. The printer, its maintenance, its electricity and its wear all have to be paid for by the hours it runs. A four-hour print carries four hours of machine cost.
Material: the smallest part. A 40–100 g figure uses only a few rupees' worth of PLA. Silk and glow filaments cost a little more, but it is still minor.
Finishing by hand. Removing supports, trimming contact marks, assembling multi-part figures and checking every piece takes real time for each figure.
Failed prints. Not every print succeeds. A failure halfway through a five-hour job costs the time and plastic, and the price has to absorb that.
Packing. A box and protective inserts for every figure.
What makes one figure cost more than another
- Print time. Tall figures, capes and fine detail take longer. That is why the Gamer Skull Ledge Sitter costs more than a Mini Dark Knight.
- Print quality. Each step finer adds 5%, up to 15% for 0.08 mm. See which print quality to choose.
- Weight. More plastic, more time.
How to pay less
- 1.Choose standard quality for desk pieces and minis.
- 2.Order several together. One parcel costs far less per piece than several.
- 3.Order five or more for batch pricing, or ten or more for a commercial rate. Tick "Bulk or commercial order" in your basket.
- 4.Use a code. Free Delhi NCR delivery over ₹1,500, and codes listed in the basket.
Why printed can cost more than a mass-produced figure
A factory figure spreads the cost of an expensive steel mould over thousands of units. A printed figure has no mould but pays for machine time on every single piece. That is why printing wins on variety and loses on unit price for hugely popular characters. We compare the two in made-to-order vs mass-produced.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a 3D printed figure cost in India?
Most of our figures cost ₹600–₹840 at standard quality from a local studio like ours, with finer quality up to 15% more. Delivery is extra.
Why is 3D printing expensive when plastic is cheap?
Because most of the cost is machine time and hand finishing, not plastic. A figure can occupy a printer for several hours.
Is there a discount for buying several figures?
Yes. Five or more pieces get batch pricing and ten or more are quoted as a commercial order. Several pieces also share one parcel, which lowers delivery per piece.
